Rick’s paternal grandfather, Leon Charlebois, founded Charlebois Hardware in 1934, laying the foundation for a family legacy of serving Iroquois Falls and the surrounding community. In the 1970s, Leon passed the reins to his son Yvon, who continued the tradition of excellence. As a teenager, Rick joined his father at the store, gaining hands-on experience with plumbing, electrical supplies, paint, home décor, major appliances, and furniture.

However, Rick’s passion always lay in consumer electronics—Hi-Fi audio systems, televisions, and cutting-edge gadgets. In 1988, when Yvon retired, Rick pursued his dream and opened his own store, Rick’s Hi-Fi, partnering with the iconic Radio Shack franchise. Over three generations and 90 years, the Charlebois family has adapted to changing times, but one thing remains timeless: personalized customer service. Today, Rick’s Home and Office continues this proud tradition, providing expert advice, quality products, and a friendly experience you won’t find anywhere else.
